St. James students in grades 5 - 8 can participate in the Parochial Music Organization (PMO). Students learn to play a band instrument and/or sing in a choir. Band lessons are taught weekly at St. James. The band also meets one night during the week. Choir meets in the evening. In addition to the musical education PMO band provides, it also gives St. James' students the opportunity to meet students from other Quincy parochial schools!
Our after-school art club allows students to explore fine arts mixed media and their own interest under professional guidance. EVERY Monday students will have the opportunity to create all new projects by experiencing many different types of mediums. Instructors will introduce and demonstrate a new concept/technique weekly and set a new and fun challenge to complete.
Instructor: Jaynie McIntyre. All instructors are certified and degreed in the Arts and or Education, and previously instructed with the QAC, in QPS and local Private Schools
